Pederson Drives in Key Runs
Joc Pederson delivered a pivotal offensive performance for the Texas Rangers, hitting two home runs to help secure a 7-3 victory over the Seattle Mariners. The win improves the Rangers' record to 54-52, while the Mariners fall to 52-55.
Pederson’s impact began in the first inning when he launched a 418-foot homer to center field, giving Seattle an early 1-0 lead. However, the momentum shifted dramatically in the second inning. After Randy Arozarena tied the game with a 395-foot home run to center, Pederson stepped up again later in the frame.
His three-run shot to right field (347 feet) put Texas ahead for good, driving in Lopez and Díaz.
Rangers Extend Lead Early
The Rangers continued their offensive surge in the third inning. Texas took a 5-2 lead when Josh Smith homered to left-center field (436 feet). Shortly after, Evan Carter doubled, and Adolis García hit a sacrifice fly to left that scored Emerson, making it 6-2. Burger then added an insurance run with a two-run home run to left-center (403 feet), extending the advantage to 7-2.
Seattle managed to score in the ninth inning when Naylor drove in Crawford with a sacrifice fly to left, resulting in a final 7-3 count. Despite the late run, the Mariners could not overcome the deficit.
