Jake Nimmo provided the critical offensive spark for the Texas Rangers, delivering a two-run single in the sixth inning that ultimately proved decisive in a 7-6 victory over the Atlanta Braves. The performance included a total of three runs batted in, anchoring a Rangers attack that overcame a deficit to secure the win at Truist Park.
Scoring Sequence
The game featured a back-and-forth scoring battle early on. In the first inning, Josh Jung’s teammate Pederson launched a 419-foot home run to right field, giving Texas an initial 1-0 lead. Atlanta responded in the second inning with a three-run surge.
White hit a 406-foot home run to left, bringing Dubón home, followed by a single from Baldwin that scored Riley and advanced Jarvis to third. Albies then hit a sacrifice fly to center, scoring Jarvis to make it 1-4.
The Rangers cut the deficit in the third inning. Langford singled to left, scoring Higashioka, and Nimmo followed with a single to right that brought Pederson home. However, Harris II immediately answered with a 405-foot home run to right, restoring Atlanta’s lead at 3-5.
The momentum shifted in the sixth inning. Carter homered to right, scoring Duran, to tie the game at 5-5. Moments later, Nimmo singled to center, driving in both Langford and Pederson to give Texas a 7-5 advantage. Atlanta managed to score one run in the seventh inning when Dubón doubled to left and Harris II scored, making the final margin 7-6.
