Baylor football has revealed its projected offensive starters as the team readies for the upcoming season. DJ Lagway is set to be the starting quarterback, with coaches noting his strong performance since joining the team. Lagway expressed confidence in the offensive system designed by Jake Spavital, which may enhance his skills in the Big 12.
Dawson Pendergrass is expected to take on the role of starting running back after missing last season. Pendergrass previously recorded over 670 rushing yards and six touchdowns in his first two seasons, showcasing his physical running style and pass-catching ability.
The wide receiver positions are likely to include Louis Brown IV and Dre'lon Miller. Brown, a transfer from Colorado State and San Diego State, is anticipated to be a primary deep threat, while Miller, a former top recruit, brings versatility from his time at Colorado.
Gavin Freeman, a transfer from Oklahoma State, is projected as the slot receiver, known for his speed and agility. At tight end, Tony Livingston joins after two years at Florida, contributing experience and skills as both a blocker and pass catcher.
The offensive line will feature Logan Moore at left tackle, Nate Kibble at left guard, Koltin Sieracki at center, and Asher Hale at right guard, with a right tackle yet to be confirmed. Moore, a junior transfer from UAB, is expected to protect Lagway's blindside, while Kibble and Sieracki will play crucial roles in the line's success.
