Baylor football has unveiled its first depth chart for the 2026 season in anticipation of the opening game against Auburn. DJ Lagway will lead the offense as the starting quarterback, with Nate Bennett, Edward Griffin, and Quinn Murphy listed as backups.
Dawson Pendergrass is set to take on the running back role, supported by Caden Knighten, Michael Turner, Ryelan Morris, and Jacorey Watson. The wide receiver lineup features Louis Brown IV alongside either Dre'lon Miller or Jadon Porter. Gavin Freeman will serve as the starting slot receiver, backed by Jayden McGowan.
Matthew Klopfenstein is positioned as the starting tight end, with support from Tony Livingston, Hawkins Polley, Parker Almanza, Kai Wesley, and Brody Wilhelm.
On the defensive side, the Bears will have Kyler Jordan or Jordan Mack at defensive end, and Devonte Tezino or Kamren Washington at defensive tackle. The linebacker positions include Travion Barnes at MIKE, Kyland Reed at WILL, and either Ryan Davis or Garrick Ponder at JACK.
In the secondary, Devon Jordan and LeVar Thornton Jr. will start at cornerback, with Colby McCalister or Tyler Turner at free safety and Devin Turner or Jacob Redding at strong safety.
