Hayden Wesneski delivered a masterclass in efficiency for the Houston Astros, limiting the Chicago White Sox offense to a single hit while striking out five batters over seven innings. He walked two but did not allow an earned run, securing the win for the home team at Daikin Park. The outing was clean enough to keep the scoreboard blank until the late innings.
Supporting Wesneski in the bullpen were AJ Blubaugh and Josh Hader, both of whom maintained the shutout. Blubaugh pitched one inning, allowing two hits and walking one batter while recording no runs allowed. He improved his record to 5-2 with the victory credited to him.
