Denton, Texas — The Mavericks matched New York’s offer to Moussa Cissé, ensuring the center stays with Dallas.

Cissé averaged 4.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in just under 14 minutes per game last season, ESPN reported. He entered the offseason as a restricted free agent after Dallas extended a qualifying offer.

ESPN reported that the offer was worth $4.7 million over two years. The report said Dallas completed its match before the deadline that followed Cissé’s signing of the Knicks sheet.

The match means Cissé cannot be traded without his consent for one year and cannot be dealt to New York during that period, according to ESPN.

Denton sits in the North Texas market served by the Mavericks, whose home arena is in Dallas.
