The Houston Texans are looking into the possibility of adding cornerback Jaden Davis, who previously played for the Arizona Cardinals. Recently, Davis was cleared to return to play and took part in a workout with the Texans, as reported by KPRC 2's Aaron Wilson on September 5.

Davis was drafted by the Cardinals in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, being the 226th overall selection. A video from his workout showcased his readiness to get back on the field. The Texans are aiming to strengthen their cornerback position, which has been impacted by injuries since the 2025 season.

Currently, Jalen Pitre, a safety, is stepping into the nickelback role, while Jaylin Smith, a third-round pick from the 2025 draft, has been sidelined for a considerable part of his rookie year due to injuries.

Davis was highlighted in The Athletic's draft guide as one of the top prospects still available. NFL draft analyst Lance Zierlein noted his speed and agility as a nickel corner, though he mentioned that improving his anticipation skills would enhance his performance in the league.

Further developments regarding Davis's potential signing with the Texans are anticipated as the situation unfolds.
