Despite the credential suspension, the Star-Telegram maintained its reporting on the situation. TCU Athletics issued a statement reaffirming its commitment to progress and recognizing the newspaper's importance as an independent news outlet in the community.
The Horned Frogs began their season with a loss against North Carolina, finishing 15-10 in a game played in Ireland. They are set to compete against Grambling State on September 12.
The initial revocation of the Star-Telegram's credentials was reportedly related to threats made against Ezukanma, although the newspaper clarified that it did not disclose his identity following the incident.
