It serves adults recovering from a range of conditions, including strokes, neurological disorders, traumatic injuries, and orthopedic issues such as joint replacements or amputations. The facility also supports those with other rehabilitation needs requiring intensive care.
Steven Edgar, chief executive officer of Medical City Denton, stated that the project reflects the hospital's dedication to helping patients return to their daily lives. He noted that expanding access to specialized rehabilitation services locally helps address growing community demand for high-quality, patient-centered care.
The unit features updated medical equipment and advanced technology. Amenities include a modern in-unit gym for physical and occupational therapy, as well as a fully equipped kitchen with full-size appliances and a private bathroom. These spaces allow patients to practice essential daily life skills in a realistic setting.
