The right-hander struck out 11 batters over six innings while allowing just three hits and one walk. This outing marked Cavalli’s second straight game with double-digit strikeouts, reinforcing his status as a key asset in the Nationals’ rotation.
He earned the win, improving his record to 11-5 on the season.

The Nationals broke through in the third inning when Tena launched a home run to center field, measuring 415 feet, to give Washington a 1-0 lead. The offense added another run in the fourth inning as Ruiz singled to right field, driving in Chaparro, who had reached base earlier.
Washington extended its advantage in the sixth inning. Vivas grounded out to the pitcher, but the play allowed Chaparro to score from second base, making it 3-0. The game’s final scoring burst came in the seventh inning when Chaparro hit a home run to left field, measuring 397 feet.
