Von Miller, recognized as the NFL’s active leader in career sacks, has officially joined the Dallas Cowboys on a one-year contract. He shared the news through an Instagram post, expressing his enthusiasm with the phrase, "Hereee Weee Gooo."

Miller, originally from DeSoto, Texas, located about 25 minutes south of Dallas, has deep connections to the region, having played college football at Texas A&M. Now entering his 15th NFL season, he previously played for the Washington Commanders, where he recorded 26 tackles and nine sacks across 17 games last season.

A two-time Super Bowl champion, Miller secured titles with the Broncos in 2015 and the Rams in 2021. He was selected second overall in the 2011 NFL Draft by the Broncos and has also played for the Buffalo Bills.

Over his career, he has amassed 138.5 sacks, placing him tied for 13th all-time alongside Hall of Famer DeMarcus Ware, who also had a stint with the Cowboys.

In addition to his sack achievements, Miller has tallied 607 tackles, 271 quarterback hits, and 27 forced fumbles in 203 games. His honors include eight selections to the Pro Bowl and three First Team All-Pro recognitions. The Cowboys will kick off their 2026 regular season on September 13 with a matchup against the New York Giants during Sunday Night Football.
