Peters Leads Outburst
Tristan Peters was the driving force behind the Chicago White Sox’s 11-7 victory over the Texas Rangers on Tuesday at Rate Field. The home team exploded for six runs in the first inning, building an insurmountable lead that the Rangers could not overcome. Peters contributed significantly to the early surge, doubling to drive in two runs and later homering to right field for 380 feet.
The White Sox finished the game with a record of 69-63, while the Rangers dropped to 66-67.
Early Momentum Shifts
The Rangers struck first in the top of the first inning. Luis Rengifo singled to left field, allowing a run to score on an error by left fielder Langford. Shortly after, a single by B. Montgomery scored another runner.
The White Sox responded immediately in the bottom half. Peters doubled to right, scoring two runners, and Doyle singled to center to bring in two more. By the end of the first frame, Chicago led 6-0.
In the second inning, the Rangers added one run on a home run by Burger to center field.
Late-Game Scoring
The Rangers managed to score twice in the fourth inning. A single by C. Montgomery scored Antonacci, followed by a single by Meidroth that brought in B. Montgomery. The White Sox extended their lead in the fifth.
