Trevon Diggs, a former All-Pro cornerback with the Dallas Cowboys, has officially joined the Seattle Seahawks on a one-year contract, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. This signing is the Seahawks' second cornerback addition this week, following the acquisition of Terrion Arnold, who is currently facing significant legal challenges in Florida.

At 27 years old, Diggs has made a name for himself in the NFL, recording 20 interceptions and defending 63 passes throughout his career. He is anticipated to compete for a spot in the Seahawks' secondary, which is currently grappling with injuries.

Previously, Diggs had signed a five-year, $97 million extension with the Cowboys in July 2023. However, he participated in only 22 out of 51 regular-season games over the next three seasons. His tenure with Dallas concluded after a series of events, including an incident at home where he reported that a television fell on him, resulting in a lengthy absence in 2025.

The Cowboys eventually waived Diggs after he requested to stay in the Washington, D.C. area with his family following a Christmas Day game, a request that was not accommodated. He was later picked up by the Green Bay Packers soon after his release from the Cowboys. Further information regarding Diggs' role with the Seahawks and the team's intentions for him has yet to be revealed.
