The City of Denton released a draft of its 2026 Action Plan for Housing and Community Development on June 18, 2026. The document outlines proposed projects for the 2026–2027 program year and serves as the city’s application for federal funding to support housing and community development initiatives.

The city anticipates receiving approximately $1.7 million in federal funds to address a range of community service needs. Officials note that final allocations are subject to change.

Public review and input opportunities are available through June 23, 2026. Residents are encouraged to review the draft plan, which includes a complete list of proposed projects, and submit feedback using the following methods:
