A 57-year-old man from Annetta, Charles Dewayne Ford, has been charged with several drug offenses following an investigation by the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force and Kentucky Probation and Parole. The arrest occurred on July 2, 2026, at Ford's residence located on Anneta Road, where authorities discovered a marijuana grow operation, suspected methamphetamine intended for resale, and approximately $2,000 in cash.
According to a uniform citation, law enforcement reported that Ford attempted to conceal the marijuana by placing it in a Ziploc bag and hiding it among other items in his closet. Officers also found a notebook containing evidence related to narcotics trafficking and marijuana cultivation.
Ford has been charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance for possessing two grams or more of methamphetamine, cultivating marijuana (five plants or more) as a second or subsequent offense, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence.
This is not Ford's first encounter with the law; he was previously convicted for trafficking in methamphetamine in September 2022 in Edmonson County and is currently on probation until 2030. The investigation into his activities is ongoing, and further details have not yet been provided.
