A resident of Denton has collected a $1 million top prize from a Texas Lottery scratch-off game. The winner chose to remain anonymous, according to the state lottery commission.

The winning ticket was part of the Million Dollar Loteria game. It was purchased at Chilly Mart, located at 3912 Teasley Lane in Denton. This marks the ninth of ten available top prizes for this specific game to be claimed.

The retailer may receive a financial bonus for selling the winning ticket. Under the Texas Lottery's Retailer Bonus Program, Chilly Mart could be eligible for a $10,000 payout.

The Million Dollar Loteria game offers more than $363.5 million in total prizes. The overall odds of winning any prize in this game are one in 3.29.

Since its inception in 1992, the Texas Lottery has generated over $43 billion in revenue for the state. It has also distributed more than $98 billion in prizes to players.

Additionally, the lottery has contributed more than $37 billion to the Foundation School Fund since 1997. These funds support public education across Texas.
