Jonathan Mark Fleming, 41, was sentenced to 78 months in federal prison by U.S. District Judge Richard Schell for a series of armed bank robberies in Denton County. Fleming pleaded guilty to charges stemming from incidents between November 2022 and February 2023, during which he stole approximately $450,000 from three different financial institutions.

Investigators linked Fleming to the crimes through his vehicle purchases and cash deposits. He traded in a red Dodge Challenger for a high-end Dodge Ram TRX truck using a large cash down payment, a transaction that helped authorities trace him back to the scenes of the earlier heists. A subsequent search of his apartment revealed the black clothing, ski goggles, and firearm used during the robberies, along with bound cash and police radio scanners.

The case was part of Operation Take Back America, a joint effort involving the FBI and local Denton-area police departments aimed at reducing violent crime.
