Diaz and Bregman Lead Offensive Surge
Yainer Diaz delivered a crucial home run and drove in multiple runs, while Alex Bregman contributed with a double and a run scored, helping the Houston Astros secure an 11-2 victory over the Texas Rangers on Saturday at Daikin Park.
The Rangers took an early 3-0 lead in the second inning when Adolis Garcia singled, allowing Marcus Semien to score, before Corey Seager doubled to drive in another run. However, the Astros’ offense erupted in the seventh inning to break the game open. Diaz homered to left-center field, and a subsequent double by Bregman allowed two more runs to cross the plate.
Bregman then singled to bring home another run, extending Houston’s advantage significantly.

He was supported by a strong relief effort from Enyel De Los Santos, Bennett Sousa, AJ Blubaugh, and Bryan King, who combined to pitch 3.1 scoreless innings.
