Ran Binyamin provided the late strike that secured a 4-3 victory for FC Dallas over Real Salt Lake on Thursday, August 20, 2026. The visiting squad outlasted the home side in a high-scoring affair at America First Field in Sandy, Utah, finishing with seven total goals across the match.

Early Dominance by Dallas

FC Dallas established control early, taking a two-goal lead within the first twenty minutes of play. Joaquín Valiente opened the scoring in the 16th minute, followed quickly by Petar Musa, who doubled the advantage four minutes later in the 20th.

Real Salt Lake cut the deficit to one goal when Sergi Solans scored in the 38th minute of the first half, but the tie was broken again by Musa’s earlier strike. In the second half, Morgan Guilavogui found the net for the hosts in the 50th minute, narrowing the gap to two goals.

Diego Luna added another goal for Real Salt Lake in the 64th minute, making the score 3-2 and setting up a tense final period. However, FC Dallas responded decisively in the 90th minute when Ran Binyamin scored the game-winning goal, restoring the two-goal difference.

Key Performances and Records

Petar Musa was a central figure for the visitors, recording four total shots on goal throughout the contest. For Real Salt Lake, Diego Luna also registered four total shots, leading his team in that category. Goalkeeper Jonathan Sirois made four saves for FC Dallas, while Real Salt Lake’s Rafael recorded one save.

With this result, FC Dallas improved its record to 9-6-5. Real Salt Lake’s record dropped to 8-4-7 following the defeat.
