Brewers edge Rangers 5-3 as Chourio, Contreras launch early homers

Early Power Play Sets the Tone

Jackson Chourio and William Contreras established the Brewers' dominance immediately, both launching solo home runs in the first inning. Chourio sent a 396-foot drive to center, while Contreras followed with a 409-foot shot to left. These early blows gave Milwaukee a 2-0 lead that they would never relinquish.

Rangers Strike Back, But Milwaukee Extends Lead

The Texas Rangers found their footing in the second inning when Luis Lara singled to center, allowing Jesus Sanchez to score and reducing the Brewers' advantage to 2-1. However, Milwaukee quickly reasserted control. In the fifth inning, the Rangers added a run, but the Brewers responded with a 388-foot home run to left center by the opposing lineup, extending their lead to 3-1.

The decisive moment arrived in the seventh inning. Lara singled to left, scoring Contreras and moving Yelich to second and Mitchell to third. Antonio Senzatela pitched 0.2 innings, allowing one hit and no earned runs.
