Extra-Inning Decider

The Texas Rangers defeated the Los Angeles Angels 2-1 in an extra-inning contest at Globe Life Field. The game remained deadlocked through nine full innings, with both offenses failing to score before the tenth frame. The Rangers, batting as the home team, ultimately took the lead in the bottom of the tenth to secure the victory.

Attendance at the venue reached 29,309 fans. This win moves the Rangers to a 64-65 record, while the Angels drop to 51-78.

Tenth-Inning Action

The Angels opened the scoring in the top of the tenth inning. Guzman hit a double to left field, allowing Siri to score and put the visitors ahead 1-0. The Rangers responded immediately in the bottom half of the inning.

Langford doubled to right field, driving in Carter to tie the game at 1-1. The decisive play followed as Duran reached on an infield single to third base. Langford then scored on a throwing error by third baseman Guzman, giving the Rangers a 2-1 lead.

Nimmo advanced to second base during the play. There were no home runs recorded in the game.

Pitching Performance

Tyler Alexander earned the win, pitching the tenth inning for one hit, no earned runs, no walks, and two strikeouts. His record improved to 4-2. Ben Joyce took the loss, pitching two-thirds of an inning with two hits, no earned runs, one walk, and one strikeout.

His record fell to 0-1 with one blown save. MacKenzie Gore started for the Rangers, pitching six innings with two hits, no earned runs, one walk, and seven strikeouts. Reid Detmers started for the Angels, pitching six innings with six hits, no earned runs, one walk, and five strikeouts.

Bullpen Contributions
