Wide receiver Jayden Higgins will miss the entire 2026 season after suffering a torn ACL. This injury occurred during a practice session with the Las Vegas Raiders, as reported by NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.
Higgins, who was the 34th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, had a strong rookie season with 41 receptions totaling 525 yards and six touchdowns. He became an important target for quarterback C.J. Stroud, especially after teammate Tank Dell was injured late in the 2024 season.
In the 2025 season, Higgins caught 41 passes out of 68 targets, with notable performances contributing to Houston's nine-game winning streak.
In light of Higgins' absence, the Texans will rely on players like Xavier Hutchinson, Jaylin Noel, and Justin Watson to bolster their receiving options. The team is also optimistic about Tank Dell's potential return from his own injury later in the season. Details on Higgins' recovery timeline have yet to be released.
