The Denton City Council is scheduled to hold a public hearing on July 14 regarding a rezoning request for a property located at 2306 Bolivar St. The meeting will take place at 6:30 pm in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 215 E McKinney St. The event is being conducted in person, with details on participation available at the city website.

The proposed action involves a request by the McAdams Company, acting for the property owner Elsi LLC, to change the zoning of approximately 0.74 acres from Residential 3 to Residential 7. The site sits on the northeast corner of Bolivar Street and Taliaferro Street, roughly 155 feet west of North Elm Street. If adopted, the ordinance would amend the city’s Official Zoning Map and establish a maximum penalty of $2,000 for violations.

Council members have the authority to approve a request that is equivalent to or more restrictive than the one submitted, provided it aligns with the Denton 2040 Comprehensive Plan. Further details, including staff analysis and exhibits, were available on the public meetings page as of July 8. Contact information for Angie Manglaris is provided for additional inquiries.
